"COLOR ME BOON" "Boon" is a 2009 Smokey Black (has a cream gene) and White APHA Tobiano out of Colored Me Blue,(the Bay Roan stallion shown below Boon), an own son of Color Me Smart,(the Bay Tobiano stallion to the right of "Blue") APHA's First $3 Million Cutting Horse Sire, and a full sister to Peptoboonsmal. Boon's dam is by Shots Flying Spark who is the 1993 APHA Reserve World Champion-Tobiano Color and the 1995 APHA Reserve World Champion-Amateur Breakaway Roping. He has sired 2 APHA World Champions and 6 APHA Reserve World Champions along with many other performers. Ms Gold Bar King is an own daughter of Gold Doc Bar (NCHA $113,056, NCHA Open Derby Reserve Champion, NCHA Bronze Award, Governor's Classic Open Champion) out of an own daughter of Delta Flyer (NCHA $260,213 and 1986 NCHA Open Super Stakes Champion). AQHA Racing Champion Stallion and money earner, Top Moon River (center) 1977 Black AQHA Stallion was voted Race Horse of the Year by the Montana Quarter Horse Association when he was a two year old. He was an own son of AQHA Hall of Fame stallion, Top Moon AAAT (pictured above left)...(Although he was a AAAT runner and earned more than $40,000 during his racing career, Top Moon did not make a name for himself until he was retired for breeding)... We stood Moon into his 20's when he proved himself to be the true all around versatility sire. Of the many offspring he produced here that went on to excell in many fields of racing, working cow horse, barrels, and even top Olympic Jumpers around the US in the show world . MONTANA NIGHTHAWK 2002 AQHA Black stallion by Top Moon Rising and a proven race mare, Kwik Knik. Royal was purchased by Corinne Leslie who owns an Olympic English training/riding facility in the Los Angeles area. These pics were taken of Royal at his first show (age 4yrs.) The girl riding is 14 and won the crossrail division (her first championship).Royal is double black gened so he can't produce any "red foals" and was sold in 2006. He has AQHA Racing champions throughout his pedigree. His grandsire, Top Moon River was the Montana Quarter Horse Race Horse of the Year at age 2, his dam by Kiptys Charger was nominated to run in the prestigious Pot of Gold Futurity. "Royal" has a mellow disposition, a smooth gait, lots of speed without any bottom showing potential in English and Western Pleasure. REFERENCE SIRE He was sold to Corinne Leslie of Sonsy Farms in Chino, CA on 5-28-06. She sent a note and the bottom pic of Royal at his first dressage show with a 14 year old rider who was also performing at her first Dressage show. "He scored a 63.692 in his Training Level 2 test. Then we add cow sense, color and a quiet disposition. Nevada War Drum champion producer in Western and English events in the US and the UK, (now standing in England), who is double bred by Dixie's War Drum, Q Ton Eagle, and Poco Pepito (AQHA) provides all those traits. When we bred a strawberry roan mare from the Old Tom Cat (AQHA) line, the roan stallion, Nevadas Quick Silver (pictured below left) was the result. When "Silver" was bred to a race bred mare we were blessed with the blue roan stallion prospect Heza Blue Tomcat (below right).

Once the speed, cow, and quiet disposition are built in, we add the incredible athleticism of QT Poco Streke, World Champion Reining stallion. He appeared on both of the performance horse leading sire lists for 2001 and 2002, and QT Poco Streke continued as the leading sire of APHA Reiners in 2001-2004. QT Poco Streke is presently standing in Missouri. His son The Aztec Eagle (above right) is a natural reiner and passes that trait on to his foals. Aztec is also homozygous for the black gene in addition to the Tobiano gene.

He was the leading yearling point earner for the New England Pinto Horse club. He has 41 Pinto halter points, 16 tobiano color points from the Nationals, and that does not include his longe line points. His offspring have been proven winners in race, performance, working cows, barrel racing, Western/English Pleasure classes and they can be found doing well on ranches and mountain trails.
